The Real News Network (TRNN) is seeking freelance video or print journalists to cover critical and relevant issues impacting indigenous and tribal communities with a strong focus on (but not limited to) the impacts of climate change. We are commissioning 5-7 minute video reports or 1000-2500 word text reports from journalists with indigenous and tribal backgrounds. The journalist will: Produce a finished video report, ranging from 5-7 mins of original reporting on climate and environment, OR 1500-2500 word text articles. Work closely with TRNN’s editorial team to produce a story that meets our journalistic standards and in a timely manner. Be able to work independently. We are commissioning freelance pieces, but have the possibility of raising additional funds to create a more regular position.
